My name is Keith Heaton and I am honored to introduce myself as the new director of the Seven County Infrastructure Coalition (SCIC). Stepping into the shoes of past director’s Ralph Okerlund and Mike McKee is a profound privilege but also a weighty responsibility. The other day Commissioner Greg Miles used the phrase “Career Capstone;” I think that nicely sums up how I feel about this opportunity.

I feel blessed to work with our exceptionally talented and committed board members, great contractors, dedicated staff and outstanding partners without whom all of our exciting projects would not be possible.

I chose to pursue this opportunity as I witnessed these amazing people set aside personal objectives for the greater good of this organization and the state. The power of unity, collaboration and civility ultimately wins the day. As the Roman era statesman Philibious Syrus said, “where there is unity there is always victory.”

The SCIC board not only ‘talk the talk’ but ‘walk the walk’ of principled leadership as they are firmly committed to a better future for our member counties. It is through our collective efforts and public private partnerships that we will meet our objectives in building much needed infrastructure and ensuring sustainable communities.

We appreciate the public’s interest and support of this great organization and the critical projects we build! Working together we will accomplish great and amazing things.

Keith
