Priority Project: Gas-Fired Power Generators

Project Need

Oil and gas producers are required to reduce methane emissions significantly before 2025. Utilizing the current wasted resource would further help the region achieve their mandate.

Priority Project: Gas-Fired Power Generators

Project Benefits

Provides electricity from existing non-royalty paying vented/flared natural gas facilities in every Coalition county.

Cleaner power production would further replace coal-fired power production in the region while directly reducing methane emissions from the oil and gas sector by 40 to 45 percent from 2012 levels by 2025 (as required by the current administration).
